The original, entirely natural flavoured schnapps, Teichenne comes from a family-owned distillery in the Catalan region of Spain. Natural ingredients and real fruit essences combine to produce a dizzying rainbow of flavours: Peach, Apple, Butterscotch, Chocolate, Vanilla, Melon, Lemon, Strawberry, Raspberry, Banana, Green Apple, Kiwi, Blackcurrant, Coffee and Coconut.

The Teichenne story begins in 1956, when Juan Teichenne Senaux began handmaking liqueurs in the small town of L'Arbo. By the late 1980s Teichenne was the Spanish market leader; today it is an international brand.

Teichenne peach schnapps is the discerning bartender's peach liqueur of choice. Like all schnapps in the Teichenne range, it can be enjoyed as a chilled shot, over ice or in a host of exciting cocktails.

Producer Information

In 1956, Juan Teichenne Senaux, an independent oenologist, had launched the family winery Teichenne S.A. in the small town of L'Arboc (40 miles south of Barcelona). Born in France, Mr. Teichenne had arrived to Spain as part of the french wine industry's search for new production sources and established in Catalonia. In those early days, production was very small and handmade, based on Brandys and liqueurs made out to be sold locally in the Penedes Region.

Expansion didn't start until the seventies, when Joan Teichene Canals became general manager of the company, after his father death. Looking back, one realizes what a challenge it was to create such a variety of high quality products and a big assortment of fancy bottles, most of which were designed by Juan Teichenne himself. Sales increased dramatically after setting up the company's own distribution network in Catalonia. The next step was to cover Spain; Teichenne led, in the eighties, the boom of the Schnapps drinking fashion. These sweet fruit liqueurs also opened doors to international markets which have grown significantly ever since.

This continuous production increase left soon the factory in L'Arboc too small and lead to open a brand new plant in Bellvei del Penedes in 1994. As a result, Teichenne produces around 3 milion litres a year of alcoholic beverages (in more than 200 lines) which have been introduced in more than 25 countries.
