The soil is chalky and loamy and the vineyard's sun exposure is both North and South. The altitude is 90m to 120m. The grapes were handpicked during the first and second week of April and they had skin contact for 1 day. Fermentation was at 14Deg C for 3 weeks and the wine was bottled in October.

This wine is a mid straw colour and is clear, bright, vibrant with a youthful hue. On the nose it shows intense pineapple characters with a delicate touch of freshly mown grass, underneath riper fruits, white peach and floral notes. Fresh acidity persists and gives great length. Finishes with a flinty mineral touch.

Enjoy now with seafood, salads and goat cheese

Producer Information

Pioneered by Maria-Luz Marin in 1999 when she planted the first vineyards in the Lo Abarca Valley located in San Antonio, Casa Marin produces a small quantity of fine wine. Over a decade of incredible passion and commitment from Maria Luz and her family has resulted in a neat range of varietal wines that are expressive and impressive.

The estate comprises 40 hectares of vineyards divided in to 33 plots of land that are managed separately revealing individual characteristics. The vineyards benefit from a unique maritime influence creating a cooler climate and longer grape ripening period so suitable for aromatic varietals such as Sauvignon Blanc. This translates in to intensely mineral wines that express the dream of Maria-Luz, who has been recognised internationally for her sensitive winemaking and excellent pure wines.

It gives us a huge amount of pleasure to pioneer these distinctive cool climate fine wines from Chile and we hope you will fall for them as much as we have.
