Alpha Estate is located in Amyndeon, North West Greece. It is the brainchild of two visionaries, 2nd generation vine grower Makis Mavridis and Bordeaux trained wine maker Angelos Iatrides. Angelos is one of the most talented winemakers working in Europe. This pristine estate in the cool highlands of Western Macedonia employs the most up to date vineyard techniques and winemaking technology to produce world class wines from French and indigenous Greek varietals.

A richly textured wine with superb length and balance. Strong and lively nose but with plenty of finesse.

Excellent with green salads, baked vegetables,fish and a wide variety of Greek seafood Meze.

Producer Information

Angelos Iatrides is one of the most talented winemakers working in Europe. This ultra modern winery is located in the cool highlands of Amyndeo in northern Greece and uses using the latest winemaking techniques to produce Greek wines of a world class quality from French and indigenous Greek varietals. Makis Mavridis (third generation skilled grape grower) and Angelos Iatridis believe in making wines that brings out the true characteristics of the region they originate from, wines that can reveal the characteristics of the soil, climate, and the typicity of the grape varieties they are made from. Their wine have won numerous awards. The Sauvignon Blanc can give New Zealand and Sancerre more than a run for their money and has shown this time after time in blind tastings.
