Description:
Deep dark red. The nose opens with pure aromas of smooth spices and hints of cocoa bean and citric fruits. The mouth-feel exhibits good weight without being overly dense. Black fruit such as prunes and blackberries appear among pepper spices and menthol. The finish is long and lingering with black fruits, spices and a hint of menthol.

Producer Information

We`ve been following David Reynaud for years, since blind-tasting his wine in a line-up of Crozes-Hermitage at a wine competition. The intensity and length of fruit of the wine was astonishing, showing Syrah at its purest and most drinkable. David has 18 hectares of vineyards lying on the terraces of the highly-regarded village of Beaumont Monteux, to the South of the town of Tain. David`s family used to sell their grapes to the Cooperative at Tain, but a wish to bottle his own production led him to establish his domaine in 2002.This also allowed him to farm his vineyards both organically and biodynamically, and all his wines are either certified as such or due for conversion in the next 1-2 years.
