|Charles Back, the owner of Fairview, is also the man behind Goats do Roam, the fruit for which is sourced primarily from Paarl, Malmesbury and Paardeberg.|
The newly packaged Goats in Villages Viogner is now 100% Viognier with 30% barrel fermented fruit, underlining Charles' commitment to increasing the quality of this range. The structured, impressive Goats in Villages Red became a Shiraz/Pinotage blend with the 2006 vintage. The Goatfather is an Italian style blend of Barbera and Primitivo with Shiraz, Cabernet and Merlot adding spice and a plummy character.
Quirky in all but quality, the Goats do Roam wines are seriously good.
