Description:
Opening with enticing red berry fruit, the aromas seamlessly blend with hints ofcherry and forest floor.

Delicate notes of anise and cola accompany the fruit. Arich palate of black cherry and strawberry is supported by medium fine-grained tannins.

The finish lingers with subtle, toasty undertones and excellent balance.

Producer Information

The winery and vineyards were originally owned and run by the De Loach family, with Cecil De Loach as winemaker. In 2003, the family run Burgundian estate Jean-Claude Boisset purchased De Loach and brought the focus back to the estate`s original high quality winemaking philosophy, with specific emphasis on small lot winemaking, particularly of Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley. The employment of consultant winemaker Greg La Follette (formerly at Flowers on the Sonoma Coast) and winemaker Brian Maloney, marked the start of a return to De Loach`s previously excellent form.
