Adelphi - Bunnahabhain 13 Year Old 1997 - Cask Strength
* CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE *
Description: Adelphi is regarded as the ultimate independent Single Malt Scotch Whisky bottler in the world. All the whiskies bottled are cask strength, non-filtered. Adelphi believes that only the very best single cask, single malt whiskies are good enough to be bottled on their own.
This Bunnahabhain was distilled from peated malt in 1997 and aged for 13 years in a refill sherry cask before it was bottled. There are only 369 bottles in total from cask no. 5372.
Nose: A prickly nose, and an immediate impression of smoky bacon crisps and peanut butter. Behind this, moorland and sea-shore scents of moss and bog myrtle, salt and dry seaweed.
Taste: Drinks well, unreduced - an 'old fashioned' taste, with canvas and acrid camp-fire smoke; sweet, but drying. Water increases (and loosens) the moorland and maritime aromas.
