Description:
Lovely old-world classic Syrah that is truly representative of the regions finest wines. What else could you possibly want?

Soft and pretty on the nose with aromas of violet, cassis and sweet spices. Big and bold on the palate displaying more of the same plus some liquorice and lingering on the finish.

This wine is made from the Syrah (also known as Shiraz) grape variety and comes from the South of France. It has aromas of sweet spices and soft red fruit and it is bolder on the palate with some liquorice flavours and a lingering finish.

Producer Information

Domaine La Croix Belle is a large 100ha estate situated in the lesser-known Cotes de Thongue region of the Languedoc. Established in 1794 and managed by Francoise and Jacques Boyer, the estate is set in the foothills of the Montagne Noire on fantastic soils - mostly gravels and pebbles, outside the historic town of Puissalicon near Beziers.

The vines are naturally low-yielding and the Boyer’s use a mechanised sorting table to ensure only the best fruit finds its way into the vats. The estate philosophy emphasises the importance of terroir but also of simple, unadulterated pleasure – these are ripe, refreshing, fruity wines that are a joy to drink. It is no surprise to us that the estate had picked up a number of ‘great value’ awards from top publications such as Wine Spectator.
