Alain Dominique Perrin, owner-wine grower, acquired the Chateau Lagrezette, in the south of Bordeaux in Cahors, in 1980; a building dating from the 15th Century, classed as an historic monument. The restoration of the building, its gardens and its vineyards took 10 years.

Chateau Lagrezette, a subtle blend of 87% Malbec, 12% Merlot and a very small proportion of Tannat, is the premier cru of the winery. Grapes were manually harvested. The various parcels and varieties of grapes that go into Chateau Lagrezette are vinified separately and then matured in new oak barriques and second-pass barriques for 18 to 20 months.
