Lovely flavours of sweet melon and baked apple follows through onto a full palate with a tropical fruitiness that lingers delicately on the aftertaste.

Terroir 29 year old vineyard planted on n-nw slope at 160 - 180m above sea-level on shallow medium textured (10 - 15%), moderately structured (50 - 90% gravel) soil with a shale parent material.

The 10 year old blocks are planted on terraced s-sw slopes 180 - 240 m on medium textured, neocutanic soil with hydromorphic material of mixed origin (10 - 15% clay, fine coarse sand with 20 - 50% gravel).

The illustrious Morgenhof Wine Estate is situated on the slopes of the Simonsberg mountains outside Stellenbosch.

This area is renowned for the high quality of its grapes and the distinctive terroir is reflected in the character of the exceptional wines.

Owned by Mrs Cointreau, Morgenhof Wine Estate dates back to 1692 and consists of 212 hectares of which 74 hectares are under vines, producing approximately 35000 cases a year.
