A wonderful expression of pear, apricot and citrus fruit flavours that are refreshing and well-integrated with the french oak which ends on a creamy, fruity palate with a lingering crispness.

Terroir: The Chenin Blanc vineyard is planted on W-NW facing slopes at 280-300m and N.NW slope at 180 - 205m above sea level. The soil varies from medium to heavy textured, with a moderate stucture and shale mother material.

The clay content varies from 10 - 15%.

Producer Information

The illustrious Morgenhof Wine Estate is situated on the slopes of the Simonsberg mountains outside Stellenbosch.

This area is renowned for the high quality of its grapes and the distinctive terroir is reflected in the character of the exceptional wines.

Owned by Mrs Cointreau, Morgenhof Wine Estate dates back to 1692 and consists of 212 hectares of which 74 hectares are under vines, producing approximately 35000 cases a year.
