Norman "Sailor Jerry" Collins, the father of old school tattooing, constantly sought to reinvent himself.

The team at Sailor Jerry have made some changes. The taste is less sweet, allowing the vanilla and natural spices to come through and the label now has a Hula Girl centre stage, reflecting the legacy of the Norman Collins.

Best served over ice with cola or ginger beer and a squeeze of fresh lime.

Review: I bought this rum in US this summer and I didn\'t know what I bought, but when I tasted it I didn\'t want to stop drinking it, the greatest rum I ever tasted :), I bought 2 bottles, each bottle was a half gallon :). I thought that I could get a new bottle through the internet, but it seems hard to find, and if I find it it\'s much to expensive. Please start produce this rum again so we can enjoy a drink again, because you will never drink another rum when you have tasted this original Sailor Jerry Rum. Hans from Sweden.

Review: It tastes just like every other spiced rum on the market... The old recipe was much MUCH better, full of flavour and completely unique, it\'s a shame.

Review: I bought a bottle of this Sailor Jerry just to see what all the fuss was about and what a waste of my money. It taste\'s nothing like the original drink which I love. Thank god I stocked up on bottle\'s of the old stuff as I\'m NEVER ordering this drink when I go out again or buying a bottle. I am now stuck with a bottle of what taste\'s like cheap rum from Tesco. Avoid this drink it\'s just not Sailor Jerry.

Review: I agree with all other comments, this used to be my favourite drink but now I wouldn't even buy it. I was surprised to see the new 'spiced' blend come out but never believed they were actually going to replace the original. Please bring back the old....

Review: This new recipe is rubbish, I have managed to buy 30 bottles of original recipe and everybody I have spoken to seems in agreement that new STUFF is rubbish!!!!! Sailor Jerry HAD a unique product and swapped it of very run of mill rum. I will not buy again....

Review: I couldn't believe it. I went to the bar and asked for my favourite drink, Sailor Jerry and coke. I sat down, had a sip and thought he'd given me the wrong drink and asked for another. It was horrible! I'm gutted, I loved the old stuff and bought a bottle every fortnight. I will never buy it again.

Review: They should just change the brand name of this rum, it is NOT Sailor Jerry rum.

Review: The new taste is rubbish - bring back the old flavour. Everybody I know who drinks it are now refusing to buy, as it now tastes like ASDA £6 rum. There is already a petition on facebook to try to persuade the company to revert back to the original taste!

Review: this rum is insanely popular at the minute, but its not for me. I find the vanilla is too overpowering on the nose, almost sickly sweet. Not quite as strong on the palate, but not to my tastes. If you mix it with coke and a dash of blackcurrant it does taste like a drumstick lolly though!
