Colour: The tint is a pearly pink, the effervescence fine and joyous.

Nose: A discreet first impression of peony, wild rose and forest undergrowth, followed by fruity hints of redcurrant, candied cherry and pomegranate with softer hints of strawberry jam giving way to spicier touches of cinnamon.

Palate: An ample and velvety wine with a touch of romanticism. The softness of redcurrants, morello cherries and pomegranate joins with more delicate notes of violet and liquorice. A fine balance evolving toward brown sugar.

Producer Information

Charles Heidsieck is one of the great names of Champagne and produces some of the finest of all Champagne. Started in 1851, the foundation of its modern fame rests on the work done by winemaker Daniel Thibault, whose style has come to define `Charles`. Thibault died in 2002 and was succeeded by his assistant Regis Camus. Between them they have won the `Sparkling Winemaker of the Year` at the International Wine Challenge an unrivalled twelve times. Thierry Roset is the current Chef de Cave, working with Camus. He continues with the approach that has driven their success - the relentless pursuit of quality. The base wines are made from a selection of the best vineyards of the region. Charles Heidsieck benefit from the largest collection of reserve wines in Champagne.
