A clear sunny morning just outside Mexico City in 1889. The rays of sun creep over a brewing pot, inspiring the German brew master, to name his beer "El Sol", Spanish for sun.
By 1924 this clear, smooth and refreshing beer had become an essential part of Mexico's refreshment repertoire and was re-named simply "Sol".
