Sauce Guides Limited is a privately owned company established in 1997 by Simon Difford and Coe Vintners (a family owned drinks wholesale company) to publish CLASS Magazine (an acronym of Cocktails Liqueurs And Speciality Spirits).
Initially a softback titled, 'Sauceguide to Cocktails', the first editions were published in October 2001 were created after the sale of CLASS and designed to be related from magazine racks. Since 2003 these drink related guide books have been published under the brand name 'diffordsguide' and proved so successful that they are now printed in hardback and have grown in size and statuRe to be the drinks industry's preferred point of reference.
The company remains independent and Simon is now the sole shareholder.
