Founded in 1824 and now owned by the Morello Brothers, Destilerias Pico has spent over a century and a half developing and fine tuning one of the most decadent liquors in the world. Having researched a vast supply of different cocoa beans, the Morello brothers eventually selected the now famous Guayaquil cocoa bean of Ecuador, renowned for its complex aroma and suitability for distillation.
The process starts by toasting the beans, followed by trituration, maceration and finally distillation yielding a liquor of exquisite flavour and taste.
