95% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The grapes were harvested, fermented and matured in individual batches to capture the distinctiveness of each parcel. Fully destemmed grapes were fermented on skins and after extended maceration, each parcel was pressed and transferred to French and American oak barriques. Maturation for 15 months evolved the wines' character and flavour while softening the tannins. Each batch was assessed to optimise the expression of varietal personality and site characteristics in the final blend. Predominantly Merlot, the addition of Cabernet Sauvignon has added structure and backbone.
