Description:
Vineyard: This wine is produced from grapes from the Orvieto Classico appellation, which encompasses the area around the alluvial cliff on which the city of Orvieto is located.

Winery: Grapes were destemmed and soft-pressed before the must was immediately cooled down to 10°C for settling. The clear juice was racked into stainless steel tanks for alcoholic fermentation at 18°C. The temperature was lowered to 0°C towards the end of fermentation to halt the process and leave some residual sugar in the wine.

Taste: Refined and elegant with floral aromas. Fruity and well-balanced with some sweetness on the finish.

Producer Information

The Antinori family released their first wine under the Santa Cristina name in 1946. Since then Santa Cristina has been a byword for quality and value in Tuscany – now more so than ever since the creation of a dedicated winery in 2006. The range now consists of reds and rosés from Tuscany and whites from Umbria, so the winery’s location in Cortona, southern Tuscany, is ideal.
