Producer Information

Established on the original Leganza vineyard (founded by the Countess of Leganza) of Finca Los Trenzones dating back to 1818 in Vina de la Tierra Castilla, the winery is now owned and controlled by Grupo Faustino, bringing Rioja quality to Vina de la Tierra Castilla.

Grupo Faustino’s aim is to exploit the quality potential of the region and bring Rioja values and qualities to it; specifically grape quality, ageing policy, consistency and reliability.

The vineyard benefits from a superb microclimate, mineral rich soils and irrigation. Located in Vina de la Tierra Castilla, central Spain, this region is allowed to experiment with different grape varieties not permitted in Rioja.
Grupo Faustino has invested in deep wells accessing underground water reserves for irrigation. Vital in a region where average rainfall is 363 litres per m² and water costs as much as petrol! Condesa has built its success on a reputation for quality and value, produced by the World-renowned Faustino group and is listed in key outlets throughout the UK. Available in bottles with a screw cap.
