The nose highlights ripe cherries, red berries, vanilla and herbal, smoky characters.

On the palate, a touch of pepper mingles with dark chocolate and spicy notes

Medium-bodied, this Carmenère has a long finish.

85% Carmenere, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot.

Producer Information

Chocalan`s 80 hectares of vineyard are situated in a part of the Maipo Valley not previously planted with vines, between the Andes and the Coastal Mountain range. The proximity of the vineyards to the Pacific Ocean ensures that the heat of the warm days is mitigated by the cool breezes that are funnelled down the valley at night. This ensures a longer ripening period and more elegant, less jammy wines as a result.
