Description:
Produced from a mixture of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir this wine is a vibrant pink colour with tiny gentle bubbles.

A lovely intermingling of currant and strawberry aromas fill the nose. Hints of spice and brioche add layers of complexity and interest.

Ripe and sweet red fruit flavours together with gentle bubbles provide a fullness but also a supple texture to the wine.

Bright and pure acidity balances the fullness and leaves the palate refreshed.

Producer Information

Nyetimber was established in 1988 on what was regarded as the perfect site on which to make sparkling wine in the UK, on the South Downs in the heart of West Sussex. Just over 14 hectares of gentle, south facing slopes of greensand soil were planted with the traditional Champagne varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Ever increasing demand meant that the estate had to embark on a rapid expansion programme in 2005 and it has now grown to become one of the largest vineyards in the UK, comprising 177 hectares under vine.
The estate is currently owned and managed by Eric Heerema.
