An exceptional cuvee, this 'blanc de blancs' is a brilliant exercise in style.

Beautifully straightforward, full and distinctive, it displays all the noble characteristics of mature Chardonnay and its incredible potential for ageing.

The pale gold colour is accompanied by pale green hues, with a generous brilliant sparkle.

The bouquet is perfectly balanced with a richness and distinct pastry aromas expressing full buttery notes and intense cinnamon and vanilla spiciness.

In the mouth, the mature freshness stands out.

Initial silky notes of candied apricots and quince lead to dried fruits, hazelnuts and almonds.

Producer Information

Charles Heidsieck is one of the great names of Champagne and produces some of the finest of all Champagne. Started in 1851, the foundation of its modern fame rests on the work done by winemaker Daniel Thibault, whose style has come to define `Charles`. Thibault died in 2002 and was succeeded by his assistant Regis Camus. Between them they have won the `Sparkling Winemaker of the Year` at the International Wine Challenge an unrivalled twelve times. Thierry Roset is the current Chef de Cave, working with Camus. He continues with the approach that has driven their success - the relentless pursuit of quality. The base wines are made from a selection of the best vineyards of the region. Charles Heidsieck benefit from the largest collection of reserve wines in Champagne.
