Bright ruby in colour with garnet hints, this wine opens with a bouquet full of red fruit compote and sweet spice.

The full-bodied mouth feel is well structured with great balance between fruit character and hints of oak.

Elegantly textured with supple tannins, it ends with a fresh, fruity finish.

Producer Information

Chateau Tour de Capet is a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. The property lies just to the south of Saint-Emilion, close by to the village of Saint-Hippolyte. The twelve hectares of vines enjoy an excellent position with good southerly exposure, making a ripe, full-flavoured wine that offers exceptional value. The vineyard is next to those of Chateau Capet-Guillier and the two wines are made in the same cellar that was founded in 1902, by the same winemaking team led by Stephane Derenoncourt. For many years the estate was owned by Antoine Moueix. Today, it is owned by the Jeanjean family, co-owners of Domaine Laroche, in Chablis.
