The 2010 is deep cherry red in colour.

The vibrant cassis, blueberry and liquorice character on the nose is followed by appealing, juicy, primary fruit flavours.

The wine is full and refreshing and has excellent purity of fruit which is supported by very fine-grained tannins.

The finish is long, with lingering blueberry, blackberry and liquorice.

Producer Information

We`ve been following David Reynaud for years, since blind-tasting his wine in a line-up of Crozes-Hermitage at a wine competition. The intensity and length of fruit of the wine was astonishing, showing Syrah at its purest and most drinkable. David has 18 hectares of vineyards lying on the terraces of the highly-regarded village of Beaumont Monteux, to the South of the town of Tain. David`s family used to sell their grapes to the Cooperative at Tain, but a wish to bottle his own production led him to establish his domaine in 2002.This also allowed him to farm his vineyards both organically and biodynamically, and all his wines are either certified as such or due for conversion in the next 1-2 years.
