Ruby red in colour, with intense aromas of black fruit and a touch of spice.

On the palate, it is full and silky with distinctive tannins and subtle aromas of violets, liquorice and ripe fruit.

Tour de Beraud is a blend of Grenache and Mourvedre, which provides fruitiness and roundness with Carignan, which gives the wines fruitiness and Syrah adds colour, finesse notes and a full-bodied flavour.

Producer Information

Francois Collard is one of the most gifted viticulteurs and winemakers in Costieres de Nimes, just south of Avignon, in the Rhone Valley. He and his wife Anne run this 12 hectare property, named after the 11th Century fire tower which was constructed to prevent invasions from the sea. They have an excellent value white and red from the classic Rhone varieties, both packaged in Stelvin to capture the pure fruit character.
