Description:
This golden in colour with a deeply perfumed nose.

Floral notes of lime-flowers mingle with honey and citrus.

The palate has surprising power and is made in a full-bodied style.

It is given vibrant freshness by the natural zest of the Riesling and a soft, ripe character from the Malvasia.

It is long and persistent on the finish.

Producer Information

Vie di Romans is based in the heart of Isonzo, where Gianfranco Gallo`s 50 hectares of vineyard produce about 250,000 bottles a year. The soil is stony and glacial, and soaks up whatever rainfall there is like a sponge. A cool wind causes a big difference between day and night temperatures, and enables the grapes to accumulate a great deal of flavour. This, along with the low yields Gallo achieves, and his proclivity for late picking, gives wines of great intensity and richness.
