Pale lemon in colour with green hints.

Perfumes are of fresh, crisp apples, with a touch of tropical fruit including pineapple and freshly cut hay.

Producer Information

The Sangoma Chenin Blanc is a Liberty Wines' creation where we are trying to make the best wine from grapes native to their country. Their aim with the Chenin Blanc was to produce an excellent example of the variety, not by buying excess wine on the bulk market, but by taking a contract on an old vineyard of gnarled vines. As a result, they have paid a higher price for the grapes but are confident that this shows in the quality of the wine. They eschewed oak, as they had every confidence in the quality of the fruit they were working with, as well as the skill of their winemaker to capture this fruit in the finished wine.
