Description:
A complex nose of black cherry, ripe blackberry and stewed cranberry swirl around touches of cinnamon and dark cocoa powder.

Leading with silky red cherry and bright cassis notes, the velvety palate also displays intriguing hints of sandal wood, dark chocolate and toasted vanilla, backed by fine tannins that enliven the smooth, lengthy finish.

88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Syrah, 3% Malbec, 2% Cabernet Franc, 1% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot.

Producer Information

Developed by the Andrus family, owners of Pine Ridge Vineyards in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, ForeFront is an experimental label where the winemaker sources the best fruit, regardless of region. The wines within this range are distinguished not by an appellation or even a state, but by the exceptional quality that results from a commitment to using only the very highest quality fruit available. "The blending of multiple varieties and appellations contributes a vast complexity to the wines,` says winemaker Fintan du Fresne. This modern slant on traditional winemaking allows for the creation of unusually luscious, approachable and intriguing wines which we are very excited to be adding to our list.
