Dr. Adam Elmegirab's Teapot Bitters are inspired by the combined medicinal history of tea and bitters, a modern understanding of flavour matches, ancient tea and spice routes, and the profile of Masala Chai (spiced milk tea from India).
Produced on a base of rum alongside a host of botanicals including Black Tea, Yerba Mate, hazelnut, citrus peel, vanilla, ginger root, warm spices and one secret botanical which rounds off the desired flavour profile offering up notes of almond, vanilla, rose and bitterness throughout.
Handcrafted, hand-bottled and hand-labelled, Teapot Bitters are a great addition to any bitters collection adding depth to simple beverages such as a Tom Collins or Rum & Ginger Beer, with spirits such as genever, rum and brandy, a point of difference in a wide range of classic cocktails and punches, or in original libations such as Dr. Adam's Rum Punch a la Mim calling for Diplomatico Anejo and Smith & Cross rums, chilled green tea, lemon sherbet, fresh pressed pineapple juice, Teapot Bitters and sparkling water.
