Deep red garnet in colour.

An intense rich bouquet with typical aromas of Syrah grown on granite: blueberries and blackcurrant, violet, graphite and bacon fat.

A complex wine with soft tannins showing on the palate which ends on notes of black fruit.

It is powerful, yet elegant.

Producer Information

Maison Nicolas Perrin is a boutique negociant which results from a meeting between the Perrin Family, specialists of the Southern Rhône and Nicolas Jaboulet, a man from the northern rhone.

We produce small quantities of wines in most of the northern rhone appellations, sourcing them by the barrel from top vignerons and friends we have known for years. For each appellation, we source from different growers and look for wines that will complement each other. We then mature the wines in the cellars of the Perrin family before bottling them.

Maison Nicolas Perrin is a small operation that we started in 2009. As it uses the cellars of the Perrin Family, its fixed costs are very limited. As a consequence we have no constraints to produce large quantities of wine in order to cover our costs. Our only objective is the quality of the wines.

Our first vintage was 2006 Ermitage red and 2007 Côte-Rotie, Saint-Joseph reds as well as 2008 Hermitage Blanc. All these wines received great reviews from the best journalists. As of 2009, we will also produce wines in Cornas, Crozes-Hermitage and Condrieu.
