Description:
The Holy Trinity is a rich, deep magenta. There are vibrant fruit aromas of cherries, blackcurrant and raspberries, with underlying notes of sweet spices, liquorice and delicate florals adding complexity. The palate is silky-smooth, with fine tannins and acidity complementing the flavour of sweet dark fruit and spice, giving the wine abundant length and concentration of flavour. This wine reflects the refinement which can be achieved with this blend of varieties.

The intensity, texture and structure suggest that it will continue to develop more complexity for the next 10 years.

The Holy Trinity Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre is well suited to game meats such as roast duck with Chinese greens and slow-cooked venison.

Limited stock, only 1 bottle of 2009 available.

Producer Information

Grant Burge's winemaking heritage can be traced back 150 years to his great-great-grandfather, John Burge, who emigrated from England to South Australia and started the family's unrelenting passion for winemaking. Grant formed his own family company in 1988 with his wife Helen, in the heart of the Barossa Valley on the banks of Jacobs Creek. Continuing the family tradition, Grant and Helen have now brought the sixth generation into the fold.
The Barossa is famous around the world for its full-flavoured, long lived, top quality wines and Grant Burge's name is synonymous with the region. He is completely passionate about the region and the wines he makes. He owns and manages two wineries in the Barossa and personally oversees all aspects of wine production from vineyard management and maintenance through to winemaking procedures to ensure longevity for generations to come.
Regularly awarded 5 stars by James Halliday, Grant Burge has won every wine award in Australia at some point in his career and has achieved many international accolades, which are testament to his enormous talents as a winemaker and vigneron. A man not known for resting on his laurels.
