Description:
A generous nose highlights apple and hazelnut fruit aromas, typical of the specially selected Chardonnay clones, complemented by fine nuances of toasted bread and vanilla. The palate is meaty and dense, well outlined by delicate acidity. Its long finish emphasises elegant, spicy nuances and a toastiness typical of Nevers oak.

Every morning, in the Valley of Limari, the Andes Mountain sun rises initiating the ritual union of land and vine. In this luminous valley of acid soil and coastal breezes the conditions are excellent for the cultivation of Chardonnay. After the press, Cordillera Chardonnay is fermented in French oak barrels resulting in its marked personality, freshness and elegance.

Sublime with caviar. An Ideal for partner for trout and smoked salmon, fresh seafood and all fish dishes, whether baked or in sauce.

Producer Information

In 1979, our hundred year-old wine-making company acquired a small winery in Curicó, in the Chilean central valley, as the first foreign company to back Chilean vineyard production located in a unique magical landscape, at the feet of the Andes volcanoes. Today, after almost thirty years, those 100 hectares acquired then have turned into 445 hectares of vineyards owned by the company itself. Our first estates in these lands were Maquehua, San Francisco Norte and Cordillera. At the end of the 90s we added San Luis de Alico and Empedrado. The excellent climate conditions for cultivating grapevines, with great temperature differences between night and day and lands free of grape phylloxera, have contributed to the fact that sublime wines are being made in lands from where one can view the greatness of the Andes, crowned by snow and a noble beauty. As of 2010 Miguel Torres Chile is directed by Miguel Torres Maczassek, a fifth generation Torres winemaker who moved to Chile with his family in order to maintain the tradition and passion for winemaking that the Torres family has demonstrated all these years.
