Description:
Over many years having experimented with old Chilean and Spanish vines of different varieties in order to produce this wine. Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Tempranillo and Monastrell form the basis of the wine, which is aged for 24 months in new Nevers oak barrels.

Beautiful pale cherry colour. Exquisite, fresh tasting wine with notes of fruit (raspberry and cranberry) and flowers (violets).

Voluptuous on the palate with fine acidity, fruit notes appear that combine with the wine's pleasant texture.

Excellent as an aperitif and the perfect accompaniment for pasta with meat or tomato sauces and certain vegetables. Sublime with oriental food. Serve at 8-10deg C.

Producer Information

In 1979, our hundred year-old wine-making company acquired a small winery in Curicó, in the Chilean central valley, as the first foreign company to back Chilean vineyard production located in a unique magical landscape, at the feet of the Andes volcanoes. Today, after almost thirty years, those 100 hectares acquired then have turned into 445 hectares of vineyards owned by the company itself. Our first estates in these lands were Maquehua, San Francisco Norte and Cordillera. At the end of the 90s we added San Luis de Alico and Empedrado. The excellent climate conditions for cultivating grapevines, with great temperature differences between night and day and lands free of grape phylloxera, have contributed to the fact that sublime wines are being made in lands from where one can view the greatness of the Andes, crowned by snow and a noble beauty. As of 2010 Miguel Torres Chile is directed by Miguel Torres Maczassek, a fifth generation Torres winemaker who moved to Chile with his family in order to maintain the tradition and passion for winemaking that the Torres family has demonstrated all these years.
