Australian Drinks

Australia Day is celebrated on the 26th January, and marks the day when the First Fleet arrived in Botany Bay from Portsmouth, and with it came the love of alcohol from the British Navy.
Australia's love of beers and a barbecue maybe somewhat of a cliché, but Aussies do love their VB (Victoria Bitter), Fosters and Castlemaine XXXX. Bundaberg rum is a firm favourite with the locals, a somewhat rough and ready spirit, invariably drunk over ice with a splash of coke.
Their wine industry has been booming for the last twenty years or so and the quality just gets better and better, blessed with long hot summers, good terroir and expert winemakers. A plethora of quality brands now grace our shelves with their simpler labelling and easy-drinking styles.
