Scottish Drinks

Scotland, famous the world over for whisky, has over one hundred distilleries across the the six recognised regions of Speyside, Highland, Islands, Islay, Campbeltown and Lowlands, each area with a tradition for their own taste and style, although the these lines become more blurred as time passes.
Scotland has also seen huge growth in the number of craft distilleries popping up; producing, not just whisky, but gins of high quality, vodka and traditional, delicious fruit and honey liqueurs.
Scotland's brewing history dates back thousands of years and once boasted nearly three hundred breweries before a severe decline to just eleven by 1970. Beer has gladly seen a resurgence with the establishment of nearly one hundred independent beer companies and breweries across Scotland.
