BBQ Dishes Wine Pairings

Barbecue dishes can be vegetable, fish, or meat, and perhaps a combination of all three, so there are many choices of red, white and rose wines for BBQ food. With meaty BBQ, we're looking to pair mainly red wines. Pinot Noir's acidity and juiciness, great for lamb, whilst a grilled beef steak calls for something with more tannin, or burgers with Australian shiraz. Try a sauvignon blanc with grilled vegetables or shrimp, and the good news for summer barbecues is ros├ęs love BBQ chicken.
