Cheddar Wine Pairings

Notes: The stronger the cheddar, the more robust the wine needs to be. If the cheddar is young, an oaked chardonnay from Burgundy works well, whilst stronger cheddar cheeses pair well with reds - Try Italian Barolos (nebbiolo) as well as Rioja and full-bodied spicy shiraz.
