Matured for 14 months in French and American oak, 30% new, the 2009 Crackling Black Shiraz gives a deep garnet-purple colour and a fragrant nose with pronounced notes of cloves, lavender, black cherry and earth.

Full-bodied with medium-firm fine grained tannins, crisp acid and a good mouthful of fruit, it finishes long and pure.

Drinking now, it should remain delicious to 2015.
