The fruit was sourced from the Lone Gum vineyard in the Dog Point region in the lower Omaka Valley directly west of Blenheim. There is a lone gum tree that sits in the middle of the vineyard which is lit up at night. This has been the subject matter of photos by local photographer Kevin Judd.

Pale gold. A beautifully intense wine with pungent Gewurztraminer characters of Turkish delight, rose petals and lifted notes of spice. The wine is full-bodied and has a soft round oily texture on the palate showing intense rose petals and Turkish delight, with touches of lychee and cinnamon.

This wine is drinking beautifully now and may also be enjoyed over the next two to four years.

An ideal match with Asian cuisine, smoked meats and cheeses.

Awards Gold, Spiegelau International Wine Competition 2011 Silver, Bragato Wine Awards 2011 - NZ Silver, Sommelier Wine Awards 2011 London
