lain Dominique Perrin, owner-wine grower, acquired the Chateau Lagrezette, in the south of Bordeaux in Cahors, in 1980; a building dating from the 15th Century, classed as an historic monument. The restoration of the building, its gardens and its vineyards took 10 years.

Alain Dominique Perrin is not only a fan of wine, he is also a serious business man,- he used to be the CEO of Cartier and made the brand an essential in the world of luxury.

The Chateau Lagrezette has allowed Alain Dominique Perrin to combine his two passions: a love of beauty and the creation of exceptional products.

The consultant oenologist is the famed Michel Rolland, and Robert Parker, who has awarded many high ratings to the Malbecs of Lagrezette, has described them as the 'Quintessence of Cahors'.

Chateau Chevaliers Grezette, a subtle blend of 91% Malbec, 12 % Merlot, and 2% Tannat. Harvest happens mannually. The wine is matured in new oak barriques for 9 to 12 months

Colour: deep red.

Nose: lively red berry fruit aromas and licorice notes.

Palate: a supple attack and a nice texture with blackberry, black cherry fruit. A very balanced wine with smooth tannins and a long, harmonious finish.

Fantastic with BBQ, steaks and lamb shank.

This long-aging wine can be kept for 8 to 10 years, getting better all the time.
