Key Information

Grey Goose was created to be the World's Best Tasting Vodka.

The origins of Grey Goose lie in the Cognac region of western France, a natural home for the World's Best Tasting Vodka.

Grey Goose is the only vodka that calls on the expertise of a Maitre de Chai, or Cellar Master - a man named Francois Thibault. His skills help bring out the very best from 100% fine French wheat from La Beauce, a five-step distillation process and the artesian spring water naturally filtered through Champagne limestone - the elements which come together to produce a vodka which captures the essence of the region.

The aroma is rounded with a hint of sweetness.

The taste is lush and smooth, buttery and rounded, and melts in the mouth with a long lasting satisfying finish.

This is the Big vodka that anyone who knows anything about vodka will mention straight away. Instantly recognisable and widely available at most bars, it has taken the mantle for the number one premium vodka in the world. It is really smooth, with a slight after-taste of minerals. This has a great balance between being a smooth clean vodka but also having enough of a kick to remind you of what you are drinking. If you haven't tried this, then you are seriously missing out.

This is the only vodka I buy. This and JW Blue Label, the only spirits worth drinking!

Definitely in agreement with other reviewers here, it is quite easily the nicest vodka I have tried, lovely and smooth similar to Stolichnaya but more so and with a slightly sweeter taste. Incidentally, the reviewer above might care to know that the reason it is cheaper in the US than the UK is that although distilled in France, it is then shipped to the US for sale and distribution, thus making the UK further away from its actual point of sale. It's also quite hard to get hold of in France, I couldn't find it anywhere last time I was there.

Having developed an interest in spirits whilst working in a cocktail bar, I highly recommend Grey Goose Vodka. I know that the mark of a good vodka is supposed to be its lack of taste, but the slight mineral taste of Grey Goose is highly pleasing. If placed in the freezer before drinking, it increases in viscosity, hence making it a smoother drink when taken straight but my personal recommendation is over ice with a lime rim.

1 of only a couple of vodka's I can drink straight and enjoy. Frozen or with ice and squeeze of lemon both ways are fantastic.
