The vineyard that today forms Chateau Edmus was aquired by Philip Edmundson and Eric Remus in 2007. In a single holding of 5.8 hectares, due to it slope, the estate offers a variety of soils of altering sand and gravels. The vines are on average 35 years old. The region's illustrious history dates back to the middle age but today Philip and Eric are taking every step to restore this exceptional terroir to its historic heights with the assistance of Stephane Derenoncourt. They have implemented in-depth work on the vines, yield limitation, selection of the best plots and ageing in mostly new French oak barrels with the intention of producing a superior value.
