Colour: Deep ruby red.

Taste: A floral nose with notes of red fruits (cranberry and cherry). At first, gives a sweet palate, which then turns tart. The ideal taste of the hibiscus infusion, with balanced notes of floral tea and red fruit.

Hibiscus tastes somewhat like an intense herbal and berry infused tea (cranberry, raspberry, blueberry, etc...). This soft, feminine flavour will inspire elegant martinis. Mix it with white or spakrling wine to create a really refreshing apperitif.

The national flower of Malaysia, where Monins Asian production is based, Hibiscus was developed as a Monin syrup flavour after being selected as the winning entry of a company contest to suggest new flavours.

An edible flower eaten as a delicacy, Hisbiscus is often consumed as an infusion. It is a beautiful, eye-catching bloom, which is suited to warm or tropical climates and whose varieties include red, pink, purple, orange, white, blue and yellow. Tahitian women often wear a single flower behind their ear to signify their availability for marriage.
