John Crabbie's distinctive elephant trademark stems from the Scots merchant adventurers who pioneered trade with countries from the Orient, from which they still buy the herbs, spices, fruit and ginger (a reputed aphrodisiac and cure for 'mal de mer') for Crabbie's original Scottish Green Ginger.

It was during the time of the Raj that another Scot, a Colonel MacDonald, first created the famous 'Whisky MacDonald' or 'Whisky Mac' - Equal measure of Crabbie's and Scotch whisky), a truly warming experience.

I have just purchased a bottle of your green ginger wine and had a "Wee Mac"! I used to enjoy the"green ginger" on its own, but with the beginnings of a cold today, decided to combine with a little "malt" and the effect was instantaneous and amazing! Good on Colonel Macdonald for his creation!

I was told by a friend that once I had tried Crabbies I wouldn't want any other Ginger Wine. I didn't believe him until I tried it for myself. The taste is unique and the quality second to none. Having read the list of ingredients I even feel it is good for me....in moderation!
