Nose: Rich and fruity, red apples, plums, figs and a touch of coconut. With time the vanilla and oak spice emerges from the ex-Bourbon casks.
Taste: Big and chewy, stone and tropical fruits with spicy ginger and Bourbon-esque notes and a touch of liquorice.
Finish: Very long and complex. The charred oak and spicy, buttery warmth fade gently and the fruit returns with baked apples and raisins.
A blend of pot and column still rums distilled at Foursquare Distillery, aged for 14 years in ex-Bourbon casks as the distillery in Barbados and bottled at 62% abv without any colouring, flavouring or chill-filtration.
