Sharp, but not overly so. Fruity, but not overly so. Deep, but not overly heavy. This wine isn't anything amazing or special, but it's perfectly respectable considering its price. It doesn't have the nasty bite at the back of the tongue often found in cheaper wines, and whilst its flavour is pronounced and distinctive, it doesn't leave a bad aftertaste. Serve with less delicate tomato-based dishes or game.
