The wines are conditioned in Gascon oak casks, matured with care and experience, gained from over one hundred years of knowledge passed down from Father to Son.

As this was my first armagnac, it is hard to describe how good it is compared to others. The only other armagnac I ever tasted, after Janneau, was De Montal VSOP. Compared to this, Jeanneau VS tastes quite strongly of wood and isn't very refined. If you leave it in the glass for a while, it becomes a bit sweeter. It's not bad, though. Compared to cognac in the same price class, it's quite good quality.
