Courvoisier VSOP is my VSOP of choice, just beating the Hennessey VSOP Privilege, and Remi Martin VSOP Fine Champagne. Its lighter and not quite as full-bodied as the Hennessey, which I find more pleasing in a VSOP, and the bouquet, vanilla and pears most obviously is what I prefer to the Remi. Great value for money, with more than 50% of the grapes going into this grown in the Grande Champagne section of the Cognac region. But of course having the grapes is just the beginning, to have it crafted by and blended by one of the great Cognac Houses of France, is what makes this worth it.
