Colour: Pale amber.
Tasting notes, undiluted: Nose: Oily with hints of kippers and creosote. Cereal notes with rounding sweet, medicinal elements. Palate: Sweet and medicinal with some floral/birch wood flavours. The smoky/peaty notes begin to build up.
With water: Nose: Earthy with leather and tobacco aromas. Floral and medicinal notes with oily, smoky aromas. Palate: Medicinal (germolene) with nutty flavours. Subtle fruitiness interlaced with peaty notes.
Body: Complex. Finish: Slight medicinal edge. Cask type: Refill Sherry Casks. Style: A rich and complex expression - full of Islay character but with some subtle elements.
