Tasting notes, undiluted: Nose: Sherrywood with dry grass and bracken notes. Fruit aromas - apples skins some oily, smoky notes. Palate: Rich fruit and smoky notes. Very sweet - fudge/toffee. Spices - nutmeg and liquorice.
With water: Nose: Floral and perfume, hints of cedar wood. A slow build up sweetness - treacle and mulled fruits. Palate: Sweet and smoky, sherry notes with a touch of eucalyptus. Green, leafy flavour - gorse bushes.
Body: Thick - cloying. Finish: Sherry and a little smokiness. Cask type: First Fill and Refill Sherry Casks. Style: Rich, complex Speysider.
